On Saturday, 2 February 2007, The Pampanito was brough back to her home at Pier 45. That evening, there was a Welcome Home From Dry Dock party held. Dignitaries included representatives from the Maratime Parks Association, the ships manager and others. After the speeches and words of thanks, it was pizza and beer for everyone.

I have added a few pictures of the boat. Keep in mind that I shot these pictures at night, without a flash and WITH the boat gently rocking. So, if they appear they're out of focus, we'll just have to blame it on Mother Nature.

If it appears that she's riding a tad bit high in the water, you're correct. They have yet to add about 170,000 pounds of water for ballast. Then, she'll ride at the right level.
