| I went over to the Boat on Friday night to make
sure everything was a go for the Saturday Am flood down, and found out
there was a problem with the outer door on Tube #1. It would not shut.
I took some pics outside and down in the forward room when Len Vaden and
Jim Adams were working very hard to discover what was wrong. Come to find out there was an accidental weld flash on the hinge and the door would not budge. They spent about 2 hours struggling with the problem trying everything including shutting it by hand. Finally with me in the control room turning on the hydraulic plant, Len cycling from tube #2 back to tube #1 and Jim Adams outside in the superstructure with a come-a long tugging on the shutter door the weld flash popped off, and the door shut!
