| The entire morning was spent "Fleeting"
the Boat. That is, flooding the drydock and just barely floating the boat
so they could move her aft about 3 feet and then raise her up to clean
and paint the area where she sat on the blocks. They started down about
0800 and I didn't get there till 1000 so she was already down. They discovered
a small port list that you will see in one of the first pictures. It was
do to the side blocks on starboard set to far inboard, so there was some
juggling to do. Look carefully in the water and you will see 2 divers
in the drydock. Anyway, they got her straighten out as you will see in
subsequent photos. After she was back dry again they resumed the superstructure pressure wash, set some zincs on the hull and commenced working on the wasted metal topside. DBF Harry |
